Crossfitting in Utopia





I went to California this past week to visit my sister and my new little nephew. He is now 3 months and absolutely adorable!! She is lucky enough to have a gym at her house which overlooks their backyard of bliss (yes! that's her backyard in the top pic)! Crossfitting while looking out to mountains and palm trees is not too shabby! This is another example that anyone anywhere can do crossfit! My sister pulled off a workout while baby Jacob was right beside her. She modifies the workout to fit her current fitness level and still gets results. She is proud to announce she has lost 7 lbs. the last 2 weeks! Go Livi!! It also goes to show that just because you are on "vacation" doesn't mean you can't keep up with your routine. We went hiking at Grifith Park one day and ran and did CrossFit the next. Sure there was plenty of lazy time in there but take that hour, get your heart rate up and then you can enjoy your vacation that much more afterwards!

We are approaching the holidays and it is so easy for people to think, "oh I'll get back on track after the holidays." You are just making things more difficult on yourself if that's what you are thinking. Don't loose what you have worked so hard to get. Enjoy sleeping in an not going to boot camp or work but still keep moving!! We will have free workouts over the break so stay tuned for those dates/times.
