Yoga


Good for the mind, body and soul!!! Recently I have been really into yoga. For the past month I have been going about 3 times a week and yesterday I attended a 3 hour workshop at Yoga Yoga to learn more and take my practice to the next level. I found a Hatha Flow class with an instructor that I absolutely love and has really changed the way I feel about yoga. The class literally flows from one position to the next which creates a fun dance like feel and then more advanced postures are incorporated towards the end of class...back bends, head stands, etc. It is the first yoga class that I actually sweat in...besides Bikram of course.

I feel that I am always pushing myself in my CrossFit workouts and asking so much from my body and yoga is kind of my time to give back to my body. But most of all...it has really helped me mentally. During the hour and a half class I am in tune with my body and it gives me a chance to remember my goals and refocus. But at the same time to be thankful for exactly where I am right now. It reminds me that even though I have all these goals and aspirations in mind that I don't need to "fix" myself, that I already have what I need most and be grateful for that. After class I feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of my day and stay on track. If you've never taken a yoga class...I would definitely recommend adding this to your goals list.
