Healthy Alternative for Fall

Today is the first day of Fall!! Although Summer is my favorite I love the changing of the Seasons. With new Seasons it brings new feelings and emotions, good memories and change. It makes me want to clean out my closet, drag my comfy Ugg boots out of hiding and all my cozy jackets. It makes me think of family, Holidays and fun times. Yesterday a client was talking about how in the Holiday Season she just cannot resist the Pumpkin Lattes at Starbucks. Did you know that a SMALL (or Tall) Pumpkin Spice Latte with NO whipped cream and NON-fat milk has 220 Calories, 41g of Carbs, and 38g of Sugar?!!! Yikes! This morning I made a healthy alternative that I personally think taste better because it's not so overpoweringly sweet. Give it a try before you reach for the real deal, high sugar dairy treat. It just might satisfy your craving.

1 Cup Coffee
1/4 Cup So-Delicious Unsweetened Coconut Milk
1 Scoop Jay Robb's Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
Few Dashes of Pumpkin Pie Seasoning
(100 Calories, 0g Carbs, 0g Sugar and 25g Protein)

*You have to mix the Coconut Milk and Protein Powder first in a CERAMIC MUG and then pour the coffee in. If you use a medal to-go coffee cup it messes up the consistency of the protein powder. Enjoy and happy first day of Fall!!

You version of a Pumpkin Spice Latte sounds delicious! I use So Delicious coconut milk in coffee and chai tea all the time. But I'll substitute vanilla soy protein powder for the whey, since I don't do dairy. And I bet it will taste phenomenal! Thanks for sharing!
